She has her first day on duty as a Trainee Guard on April 1, 246 HE. Verene dies a month later, on April 30, 246 HE while doing her duty[2]. She and her training partners were attacked by two Barzun sailors and three of Flash District's criminals[3]. She is being buried after Rollo on the first of May in 246 HE[4] Her training partners were Otelia and Rollo[5].
