Serenity was the owner of Ladyshearth Lodgings located on Coates Lane in the Deep Harbor District in Port Caynn. It's where Beka Cooper and Clara Goodwin stayed while investigating the counterfeit money which was suspected to come from Port Caynn. Serenity and the Provost's Guard had an agreement concerning the payment; that's why several of the Port Caynn women Dogs stayed there.[1]
Besides being the landlady of the lodginghouse, Serenity was also a former priestess of the Great Mother Goddess[2] and possessed the gift[3]. Her gift enabled her both to do defensive as well as offensive magic, giving protection for her lodgings via shielding spells. She was also capable to blind people permanently with her magic, which she did when Pearl Skinner sent two spies to watch her house because Beka and Goodwin were staying at her place.[2]
It seems as though Serenity belonged to those people being prejudiced against pigeons, because she told Beka quite sternly not to continue feeding the birds in the house after Berna told Serenity that Beka had done so once.[4] Later she explained herself with the argument that the neighbours wouldn't like it.[2]
So far she only appears in Bloodhound.
Apperance
Serenity is a short and plump woman. She has dark hair that is turing gray[5].
