Pasco Acalon is the son of Zahra Qais and Maccarin Acalon. They are both Harriers, or Provost's Guards. He becomes Sandry's student in Magic Steps when she discovers his unique form of magic. Like Sandry, Pasco is an ambient mage who channels his power through dance. No one has heard of this type of magic before and Sandry has to tech him. She enlists the help of Yazmín Hebet to teach him dancing and teaches him to meditate.
Pasco is very lively and outgoing, always getting into trouble. His cousins call him "tippy-feet" because he is always dancing. He feels guilty that he cannot fulfil his family's expectations of joining the Harriers but knows that his magic is not just frivolous. He is first discovered by Sandry when dancing a spell to help catch fish. This spell is adapted to help catch the murderers Alzena Dihanur and Nurhar Dihanur. He then moves into Yazmin's school to learn more.
