Oinomi Wavewalker is a great god of the Tortallan Universe pantheon[1]. She is also called the Wave-walker by her worshipers. However, in northwestern Tortall "Wave-Walker" can also be another name for the Goddess in the fifth century of the Human Era. She is one of the main gods of the Yamani Islands along with Yama and Sakuyo[2].

Influence

Territorial designations

She is goddess of the Emerald Ocean as well as a few seas around the Yamani Islands. She is the goddess of mercy.

Oinomi can banish storms and keep ships safe during their nautical journeys[2].

She is primarily worshiped in the Yamani Islands, but is also worshiped on the coastlines of the Eastern Lands by people who often have dealings on the sea like fishermen or sailors. Thus many people in Port Caynn, amongst them Nestor Haryse and Okha Soyan, worshipped her, at least in the third century of the Human Era[3].

Worship

Some believe that she comes when her name is spoken, like the Trickster and the Smith's God. Oinomi is said to "like pretty things". That's why the people worshiping her often paint their houses with bright designs of animals and other living things[3].
