Naxen is a Tortallan fief that has existed for centuries. The family is old and powerful and has traditionally good relations to House Conté, Tortall's royal family.[1]
Family history[]
King Jonathan I, King Jonathan IV's presumed ancestor, proclaimed the Naxen family to be one of the four noble houses to make up the "Shield of Tortall"—this was written in the Scroll of Salute. The other houses are haMinch, Queenscove, and Legann. The Naxen family have provided the realm with the most knights throughout history. Queenscove comes in at a close second.
Relationships[]
Conté family[]
The Naxens have a traditionally close relationship to the Conté family, meaning that they are both allied and closely related. Because of these close ties, the Naxens are probably in line to inherit the throne. Plus, the Naxens are probably descended from King Gareth III and his parents.
