Mikal of Danne (pronounced mee-KAHL) is a nobleman of Tusaine and husband to Aenne of Danne. In July of 434 HE[1] he is sent to Tortall as ambassador and part of a delegation to negotiate the matter of the Drell River Valley.
Ambassador Mikal only appears as a minor character in In the Hand of the Goddess. There, he is described as being arrogant and thinking that King Roald was weak rather than quiet. It is also mentioned that Duke Roger was conversing with him at a evening party. Later that evening the ambassador witnesses the duel between the disguised Alanna of Trebond and the Tusaine knight Dain of Melor, where he can't help but be impressed by Alanna's fighting skills.[2]
