Family history
The family is old but not incredibly wealthy. Much of their power comes from their kin, as they are related to several powerful families of the realm. In 249 HE, Sabine of Macayhill was integral in stopping a rebel conspiracy that involved several members of the nobility. She was heavily rewarded and even given a title and fief.
Macayhill is known for their fine horses, and Farmer Cape says the family understands horses too well for it not to be wild magic[1].
