Sir Inness of Mindelan (pronounced IHN-ness of MIHN-duh-lahn) is the third child of Piers and Ilane of Mindelan. He is Keladry's second oldest brother. He is quiet like Kel and is very good with a sword. During Kel's stay at the Yamani Islands he was training to be a knight. He was knight master to Cleon of Kennan, who was also Kel's suitor for a while. He gets along well with Cleon, for all his squire's year-mates' teasing. Inness served the the northwest of Tortall during the Scanran War.[1]
He is married to Tilaine of Teresian with three children[2].
