Idrius Valestone (pronounced IHD-ree-uss) is a Tortallan civilian who was forced to move to Haven at the onslaught of the Scanran War in 460 HE. He is of the merchant class and held a very important position where he lived in Tirrsmont. He is married to Olka Valestone.
At Haven, he caused trouble with the commander, Keladry of Mindelan, Lady Knight. He accused her of being loose and trollop, and having an ugly face. He complained multiple times to Wyldon of Cavall, the district commander and her overlord, although none of his complaints were regarded as very serious.
When he was taken by Stenmun Kinslayer and his men, Idrius had been punched to being nearly unrecognizable. Clearly he had caused trouble amongst the Scanrans as well. He, along with his wife and others, did not continue with Keladry on their rescue mission to save the children from Blayce the Gallan. Instead he returned to Tortall with Merric of Hollyrose and other adult civilians who were not prepared to go into combat with killing devices, metal monsters.
