Hurdik was the language spoken in the eastern hillcountry of Tortall in the third century of the Human Era. It is unknown if it is still spoken there two hundred years later. Matthias Tunstall is known to speak it. He has bestowed the title of hestaka, which means wise-one in Hurdik, on Pounce after he saved Tunstall's live on Midwinter of 246/247 HE.
