Haden was the brother of Truda and living at Nestor Haryse's house since 245 HE. Haden was born around 236 HE[1]. Both he and his sister were living on the streets before Nestor took them in, when he caught them stealing. Although Haden shared a similar childhood with Rebakah Cooper, he didn't intend to become a Dog when he would come off age. Instead Haden was being trained by Okha Soyan as an entertainer--fighting and music.[2] Clara Goodwin thought this a waste because he was quite talented at tailing people. Normally no one he followed noticed him and when Beka and Goodwin did notice him after a short time his pride got hurt, but Haden got quickly over it.[3] Haden--as well as his sister--was an excellent guard, spy, and pickpocket, often helping Nestor with his work and also looking after him. Sometime Nestor even rented the siblings and their gang out to other Dogs; they demand good payment for it, however. When Nestor had no work for them Truda and Haden ran with their old gang.[4]
While Rebakah Cooper and Clara Goodwin were in Port Caynn Haden was sent after them by Nestor to keep an eye on them; thus helping them by alerting the sergeant when Pearl Skinner had some of her people bring the two Dogs to her.
Haden had dark brown hair[5] and brown eyes[6]. He'd once lost an eyetooth<ref name=b378>. So far Haden only appears in Bloodhound.
