Graeme of Queenscove was the oldest son of Baird and Wilina, heir to Queenscove, and brother of Nealan of Queenscove. He and one of his younger brothers, both knights, were killed in the Immortals War. When they died, Neal became the new heir to the dukedom.

Following Graeme's death, Neal dropped out of the Royal University to pursue his knighthood. According to Neal, there has always been a Queenscove in active service to the Crown. As one of the oldest houses in Tortall with 12 knights on the Great Roll of Knights, Neal felt it was his duty to his family to start training as a page. Neal says that Graeme and his other older brother thought that knighthood was the greatest service they could give the Crown. [1]
