I just wanted to bring something up, again, that has been swirling in my head for the last few days. It seems like neither of the two sysops, LeaHazel and Matt Rubin, has been online for quite a time. The last edit of LeaHazel was in October 2007; that of Matt Rubin in September 2008. Although LeaHazel was online about two months back she didn't make any contribution.
So this wiki seems to be without leadership at the moment, which isn't a problem in itself as wikis don't live because of their admins but because of the community. However, this condition makes major changes, like a better message for the automated welcoming-tool or a more fitting sidebar, impossible. Thus I was going to ask the wikia staff to promote someone else to bureaucrat or sysop. I wanted to bring this up here before, however, so we can talk about who should be promoted.
I'd very much like to hear your thoughts on the matter.--Purzel 17:11, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
The only thing I would have to say that if it is someone from the inside it should be someone who is familier with both worlds, so that they can oversee everything going on in the wiki,l rather than just half of it. Roarthe 22:42, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
I agree with you, Purzel, that there is nothing like an active admin around. There seem to be very few active users around at all! If you want take up the job, I think you'd be great. Cabbers 00:46, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
- Go for it! We could use a good mod around here. :-) Cabbers 01:15, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
