Delia[1] of Eldorne was a Tortallan noblewoman who lived during the 5th century HE. She was guilty of high treason by assisting Duke Roger's attempts to kill King Jonathan and destroy Tortall. She was sentenced to life imprisonment[2].
Biography
Delia came to the royal palace while Alanna was still under guise of Alan and was still a squire. She had heard about Alan's successes and victories during the Tusaine War, and said she was honored to meet him when they finally came to acquaintance. Alanna found it awkward when she realized Delia was flirting with her. Delia did become sexually involved with Prince Jonathan around that time, and Myles of Olau thought she was doing so in order to break up the friendship between Jon and Alanna. While staying at the palace, Delia began to work in concert with Duke Roger and Alexander of Tirragen, Roger's squire. When Delia's sexual relationship with Jon ended abruptly, she was angered, but did not know it was because Jon's attractions had drifted to his own squire, Alanna. After the Coronation Day Battle, Delia was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Delia appears in In the Hand of the Goddess and in Lioness Rampant. She is mentioned in Squire by Lerant of Eldorne, her nephew.
Trivia
In Squire, Delia's name is spelt differently, as can be seen when Lerant says "My aunt Deliah, was a kraken!"
