Changes: Delia of Eldorne

Delia of Eldorne was noticed by Alanna and her friends during Alanna's time as a squire. After Roger's return from the grave she joined his plot for regicide.

She appears in In the Hand of the Goddess and in Lioness Rampant.

Biography

Brown haired, green eyed and seductive, Delia became the object of the affections of several of Alanna's friends; most notably Prince Jonathan of Conté, who wrote poetry (bad poetry, according to Alanna) and created bad drawings (one of which looked like a cow, although Alanna was unsure whether that was Jonathan's real intention) in her honor. Delia and Jonathan had a sexual relationship before Jonathan ultimately chose to be with Alanna. Delia was working with the Duke Roger of Conté and supported his plan to overthrow Jonathan. The nature of their relationship is never stated explicitly, but Delia's aim was to become Roger's queen^[1]. After the Coronation day battle Delia was convicted of treason and imprisoned for life.

Delia had a nephew named Lerant of Eldorne, a standard-bearer for the Commander of the King's Own, Raoul.

Trivia

In Squire, Delia's name is spelt differently, as can be seen when Lerant says "My aunt Deliah, was a kraken!"
