Cloud is the pony of Veralidaine Sarrasri (Daine). She was extremely intelligent for a pony due to spending many years with Daine and being exposed to her magic.
Biography
Cloud and Daine were the only members of their household in Snowsdale to survive the bandit raid in 449 HE. Cloud's kin were killed along with Daine's mother and grandfather.
When Daine ran with the Long Lake wolf pack, Cloud went with her despite being terrified of the wolves. Later, she accompanied Daine to Cría to look for work, and then to Tortall. While Daine trained with the mage Numair Salmalín (or "the stork-man" as Cloud calls him), Cloud stopped Daine from losing herself among the animals several times by interrupting her meditation.
In 450 HE, Cloud accompanied Daine and Numair to Dunlath and helped them to thwart a plot to overthrow the Crown.
