Anj'la was Queen of Maren in the 3rd century HE, making her a possible contemporary of King Roger III, Rebakah Cooper, and others depending no which part of the century she ruled during. She co-ruled over the country with her husband King Norrin[1].

She and her husband ruled with the help of the Dominion Jewel, which brought great prosperity to their kingdom. Her symbol is a willow branch to show the peace and prosperity that she and Norrin brought to Maren.

Legacy

Anj'la's willow branch symbol shows up quite a bit in Marenite architecture. A willow branch and snow-capped mountain—Norrin's symbol—is wrought on the ceremonial doors of the Marenite royal palace in Berat. It is also a motif in the stonework of the Great Temple of Mithros that is located in Berat as well[1].

The monarchs are revered by the Marenite citizens of the 5th century HE.
