Ammon Lofts, known under the name of "Crookshank", is an inhabitant of the Lower City of Corus in 246 HE. He owns about fourty houses in the Lower City, 20 of which are situated in the Cesspool[1], and got rich with the misery of the poor and by illegal doings. He dies in May of 246 HE.
The house he lives in is situated on the rear of the Nightmarket on Stuvek Street in the Lower City of Corus[2]. It is the biggest house on Stuvek Street.
Family
Ammon Lofts has a daughter-in-law called Annis Lofts. His grandson is Herun Lofts, who is married to Tansy Lofts. They have two children, Rolond Lofts, who is killed by the Shadow Snake in March of 246 HE, and Joy Lofts, whose birth Crookshank doesn't live to see.

Crookshank has black hair.[3]
