Ambros fer Landreg, is a Namornese nobleman and the current head of House Landreg, as well as a cousin of Sandry. He was the steward of the Landreg estates while Sandry was out of the country.

Biography

Every year Ambros sends Sandry reports about her estates, which Sandry hates.[2]

He is married to Ealaga fa Landreg and has four daughters between the ages of five and twelve. Before Sandry comes to Namorn in 1043 KF, Ambros is the steward for the girl's lands. In order to force him to call his clehame back to Namorn, Berenene dor Ocmore imposes crippling taxes on the estates. As Ambros must pay these taxes, as well as send due money to Sandry because of Amiliane fa Landreg's orders, he is forced to go to the moneylenders. He also does not tell Sandry outright about these problems, but leaves hints in his reports. Sandry notes that if she had paid attention to her steward's accounts, then she would have caught the problem. She rebukes him, and he responds that he did not know her well enough to ask for money, and, if there are suspicions that he has shorted her, his thieving hand would be cut off, and his lands and title taken away.

At the beginning of his cousin's stay he is wary of the girl, but by the end they are good friends. On her way out of Namorn, Sandry leaves him Clehamat Landreg and the title Cleham in order to truly escape the wrath of Empress Berenene.

As he has four daughter, and no sons, the eldest daughter will be the one who inherits the Clehamat, and is heiress presumptive of the estate.

Appearence

He is six feet tall, with golden hair and Sandry's Landreg eyes. His face shows slight scars from what seems to be pox from his childhood.[1]
